The iUIBS comprises a large number of teaching and research personnel from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and therefore part of the Institute's research activity is reflected in the teaching activity of the University's various degrees.

Likewise, the iUIBS is involved in training future research scientists in biomedical areas, and professionals from the health sector who require ongoing or specialisation training (University Experts, Masters, etc.)

Doctorates

The Institute has a doctorate programme within the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This programme, Research in Biomedicine, provides all the features required to develop a research degree in the areas of R+D+i that are undertaken in the Institute.

Masters and experts

Among its objectives, the Institute aims to train and offer specialisation to professionals who will be taken up by the productive network of the bio-healthcare sector. In this line, provision is made for the development of postgraduate training programmes (Experts, Masters, etc.) which can be catalysts for this process.
